River Cleanups
East Jersey Trout Unlimited regularly schedules cleanups along rivers and other water bodies in New Jersey.
Volunteers are provided with trash bags, gloves and reflective safety vests. EJTU members and volunteers typically meet up in the morning for coffee and doughnuts prior to collecting trash in and around a water source which needs cleaning. After all of the refuse has been collected and bagged, the local town's Public Works department will haul it all away for recycling or proper disposal.

Sometimes we have unscheduled river cleanups as well. If you see small trash items along a river while fishing, such as plastic bottles and cans please consider taking them with you and properly disposing of it. The fish and your fellow anglers will thank you for it!!
